Still can't find the problem

Remember how I said that:

[w]hen I am off the home network, attempting to go to my Yourls admin page nets a forbidden error unless I add a trialing / to the url. When I try to go to fyrfli.me, I get gitea.fyrfli.io.

Well ... there's further proof that things are wonky:

A friend who has their blog on my VPS said they had the same problem when trying to go to the www version of their site - it goes to gitea.fyrfli.io instead of their site.

This makes me think that MAYbe this is less about nginx and more about the DNS records. Today I am going to see if I can resolve all those issues and see if things change.

Stay tuned ...

Editing To Add:

... adding in CNAMES did not help ... dammit. And trying to set up a new VPS to try and mirror the situation with less fucked up configuration is not working either ...

First Ubuntu wouldn't install docker - something about the repo not having a release file. I tried a few different ways ... got tired of it, and went back to my trusty Debian. But Debian ... is being the red-headed child and being picky about python installations. I added 3.11 and 3.10, set up the alternatices like this post says to and the drone build started failing with an error intimating that python3.10 could not be found. Even when I add in the pipenv --python /usr/local/bin/python3.10 to the drone file.

Also ... I need to add comments to this site. I just really despise Disqus. Need some alternatives...

Aaaaaand ...

... I think it has to do with the ipv6 networking ... since everything works just fine with ipv4 addresses and this problem comes up only when I have an ipv6 address ...

So, short term solution is to move gitea off DO. Actually, the best solution is to build everything from scratch one piece at a time, but since the new VPS is being the red-headed child (is that bigoted? I feel like it might be) ... that may take some time.
